Policies & Services

The central goal of the General Tutoring Center is to provide individualized and collaborative tutorial support for students at Los Angeles Valley College. Tutoring sessions are drop-in and currently offered online through the Penji app.

What GTC tutors do:

• Provide individual and group peer-tutoring
• Assist students with their comprehension and review of course materials
• Encourage students to ask questions and engage in the learning process
• Help students develop essential skills for academic success: notetaking, time-management
• Foster a welcome environment for students to study and learn
